About Nina:

Nina Simone was an American singer-songwriter that shaped the future of women of colour in the music industry. Her music became part of the anthem for the civil rights movement, being an activist herself and performing and speaking at several engagements. She also suffered from mental illness having been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Nina is a great example of not disregarding your dreams because the world does not accept you for who you are.
